The Vintage Swing Collective is a unique collaboration between top UK vintage band Down for the Count All-Stars and our amazing, energetic dance troupe.
If you’re planning an event with a vintage theme, the Vintage Swing Collective will bring it to life as our musicians and dancers work together to create an incredible, interactive experience. Having our vintage dancers to help your guests get up on the dance floor is a sure-fire way to make the most of having a swing band at your event.
Our live musicians and dancers can offer the following:
A choreographed live show from the vintage dancers backed by live musicians (5 to 20 minutes, depending on number of performers)
A simple, fun and interactive vintage swing dance lesson (usually about 20 to 30 minutes long) to get your guests involved
Interactive dance floor experience – with dancers getting your guests on the floor with simple vintage dance moves and group dancers
Our dancers can also help you choreograph your first dance – get in touch for more information.
We can perform as a small or large group. The possibilities start from a pair of dancers with our 6-piece Get Downs Lite Band, all the way up to a troupe of 12 dancers with our 22-piece big band. And, if you think that you might not want vintage music all night long, you can let the dancers put their feet up and get the party band switch to soul, Motown and pop music later on.

Mike Paul-Smith music have provided live bands across the world. One of the most unforgettable events we’ve been involved in was creating a live music and vintage dance entertainment package for Dell, who were holding their annual staff awards in Marrakech, Morocco.
Working in collaboration with the client we developed a 1920s entertainment package including our 6-piece 1920s band The Lady Gatsby Jazz Band and a fabulous troupe of 12 interactive swing dancers.

The Vintage Swing Collective brings together one of Mike Paul-Smith Music’s live bands with a group of vintage dancers.
There are various group sizes available – these are the most popular but we can tailor the size of the band and the dance troupe to suit the size and budget of your event
