We booked The Get Downs for one of our high profile corporate clients, Lindt Chocolate, and they were fantastic. Arrived on time to set up, and worked brilliantly with the venue and AV companies to ensure everything was set and ready to go on time. Mike and the rest of the band were very helpful and went above and beyond. Then there was the performance, they were fantastic, great vocals and top quality musicians provided the perfect backdrop over dinner. I would highly recommend these guys for any corporate or private functions 10/10.

You wouldn't guess from my comments that I'm rarely pleased - this event was a personal one, but I book 3 or 4 acts a week in my day job. Your band gets 10/10. Professional, flexible, friendly, skilled and very low-maintenance. Mike is a true band-leader; Katie has a lovely voice. The boys in the back are real professionals. The booking process made the booking very easy.

Everything went really well on New Year's Eve at Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons, and The Jazz Essentials were perfect.

Dear Mike, I have been meaning to get in touch with you since our party. What can I say. It was superb!!!! Never have I seen so many people on a dance floor at one time but for so long. As far as I could see the only reason anyone came off was to get their breath back for the next stint. It was brilliant and I can only thank my son Henry for finding you on the net. Hi Mike, The band were absolutely fantastic and the guests thought so too. The trio were perfect for the drinks reception and the seven piece so good that guests thought it was the iPod playing initially! The male and female vocalists were flawless. I hope the band felt well fed and looked after.

Wow! What a great group. Timing was perfect, vocals were amazing and the playing was out of this world. Worth every single penny! Book these guys over any other swing bands. Everyone at our wedding commented on how fantastic they were including the photographer, the wedding co-ordinator and the bar staff!!! Massive thanks to the guys. Hope to see them again.
