Great band - would highly recommend. We hired the band for a large event, and from beginning to end they worked well with us, from selecting the right PA equipment to tailoring a set to suit the theme of our event. They also tried hard to work around some logistical issues we were having at the venue. The performances were fantastic and we've had feedback from guests to confirm this, and invoicing/payment was all very easy. Would highly recommend.

Just a quick note to say thank you so much to you and all of the band - we had such a fantastic time on Saturday night, and you guys were exceptional, as always!! I have had so much comments about what a talented bunch you are. Set list was fantastic and my feet have just about recovered from all that dancing!!

Just wanted to write to express our gratitude for the amazing performance that you put on at our wedding reception. In the lead up to the day Mike was always on hand to answer any questions and was really helpful in the planning stages, supporting us to choose a first dance song and giving us total confidence in the band. We had trouble with the venue sound equipment on the day and Mike and the band could not have been more professional and hard-working in overcoming the challenges they faced. Despite it all they put on an amazing performance and there wasn’t a moment when the dance floor wasn’t full the whole night - even when the sound cut out (the venue’s fault, not theirs!) and all the guests were clapping along to an impromptu acapella performance! We had given Mike a few pointers as to what kind of music we liked and the set-list that the band performed was just perfect, each and every member of the band absolutely went for it and you can tell that they have an amazing energy when they come together to perform - which is infectious and keeps everyone singing along and dancing. Special thanks to Hannah, who has a beautiful voice that will always hold a special place in our memories as she sung ‘At Last’ and we swayed along to our first dance as husband and wife. We have seen Down for the Count in Streatham, Cadogan Hall, Pizza Express Live and now can proudly say that they made our wedding for us! Thank you to Mike and all of the band.  

Wow, wow, wow!!! What a fabulous night we had on Saturday with the band. They were fantastic! The first dance was lovely and the dance floor was then full to bursting for the whole of their two sets! Every song was amazing and everyone just loved it. The atmosphere they created was great and we just loved every minute! We had high expectations of the band, having heard Down for the Count previously and having had a glowing recommendation from Emma Brunjes. We knew they would be good but they far exceeded our expectations and gave us what we wanted and much, much more! We just wanted to write to say a huge thank you for your outstanding contribution to our wedding on 21 May. The band were everything we had hoped for; professional, fun, talented and hugely enjoyable. I lost count of the number of positive comments made by our guests - I think people were genuinely surprised that such a high-quality group could be booked for a wedding! Many mentioned that it was the most spectacular, high-quality and richest-sounding band they’d ever seen at a private event. It really felt like we had chart-listed, recording artist celebrities playing for us, though that’s possibly because we watched so much of your YouTube content before the day! I’ll admit I was almost a tad starstruck seeing you all ‘in the flesh’! You absolutely nailed the set list - just the right balance of swing/Motown to get people up (once they’d had a few drinks) and managed to get in a whole bunch of our favourites. Clearly the arrangement and band-leading accolades go to you, but a special mention for Hannah and Marvin is essential. Hannah was as enchanting and engaging as we had imagined, and you were absolutely right to recommend Marvin - what an absolute gentleman with such a soulful voice. A great combination of vocalists. I’d also like to single out your drummer for an absolutely brilliant solo in Sing Sing Sing - what a way to open and let people know they were in for a good night in safe (and quality) musical hands. Also, thanks for getting the volume and balance just right - loud enough to be a party but not ear-splitting and making it impossible to have a conversation. That lighting set up is really nice, too. I hope the venue looked after you, that your food was ok, and that all the arrangements worked. I’m sorry we didn’t have much time to chat on the night, it was all a bit of a whirlwind. Suffice to say that Leanne and I couldn’t have been happier - we could have kept dancing for another set or two; we just didn’t want you to stop. My feet disagreed, mind you! Once again, our most sincere thanks and appreciation for your talents. We (and many guests) will be singing your praises for many years to come. Please pass our thanks to all the performers, and feel free to lift any bits of this for testimonial purposes.

I just wanted to send you an email to say how amazing the vintage dancers were. They were both so friendly, welcoming and fun and put all the guests at ease immediately, their energy and talent was a joy to watch and contagious, as it encouraged everyone to want to join in on the dance floor. People of all ages were up there dancing, and it's all thanks to them for making everyone excited and relaxed. Their performance, jive lesson and dancing on and off through the night were exceptional, and a joy to watch! So many friends and family commented on how amazing they were and the energy they brought to the night. So thank you very much to them, and to you for helping to make my grandfather's birthday such a special night to remember. I will definitely be recommending yourselves to everyone for the future!
