Wow, what can I say. You and your band are absolutely fantastic. We can't thank you enough. Every guest and hotel staff told us how brilliant you were. Teresa the hotel owner is a musician, thought you and the band was so great she took your details for future events and recommendations. I know Amy and Andrew enjoyed every moment of your sets and especially "This Will Be" for their first dance. We will cetainly never forget you.

The whole process of working with you was so seamless, and the performance was incredible, we’ve heard so many comments from friends and family since our wedding.
The gang were fantastic from start to finish - and even better than the demos we had listened to online. They were professional, organised, flexible on timings and they really got our party started. We loved the combination of old and new songs that the band seamlessly moved between and loads of our guests commented on how brilliant the band were. We would not hesitate to book them again - thank you so much for making our wedding day so incredibly special.
There’s no doubt about it - Down for the Count are a world class band that deserve to be recognised in every major music venue both in the UK and abroad. We feel so proud that they were part of our special day and would not hesitate to recommend them to all of our friends.
Speaking as professional musicians, my husband and I (as well as all of our musical guests) were astounded by the stylistic versatility and musical virtuosity of their performance at our wedding reception.
Their high octane stage presence and glittering presentation alone would have made for a dazzling performance - which left no option but to get up and dance! - but the immense talent and skill of each and every musician was amplified by the whole, creating a spine-tingling show with unique renditions of well loved numbers that were both impeccably rehearsed and perfectly executed.
Having planned our wedding in just two months I particularly valued the exceptional customer service of Mike Paul-Smith whose response times were swifter and more detailed than any supplier I have ever liaised with. His generosity with time and care for each and every client meant that he worked tirelessly to shape a performance that was both immensely personal to us as well as being within our budget.
Finally, I am incredibly grateful for Down for the Count’s understanding and professionalism on our wedding night, delivering a show-stopping performance with 100% commitment and enthusiasm despite the fact that we were running considerably behind schedule.

WOW! How amazing are Down for the Count? They have stayed with us through all the lockdown problems, always willing to change but above all they are just an awesome band, their sound is exceptional and we and all our guests just loved them.
They worked with us with the ceremony music, nothing was too much trouble. They helped so much with the wedding dance too.

The Lady Gatsby Jazz Band were sensational - thank you! We had a lot, a lot of professional musicians at the wedding, and all said how impressed they were.

We just wanted to thank you so much for such a brilliant job last Sunday. We loved every second of the music, beginning with the ceremony and then for dancing in the Porter Tun. Our friends and family also had lots of fun on the dance floor and we have lost track of the amount of praise we have heard for Down for the Count.
Everything was spot on. The brilliant rendition of I’m A Believer prompted some of our friends to start dancing and to get us dancing and that set the tone for the whole evening.
The Jewish stuff was all great. I loved the clarinet.
Hannah and Callum aced every song. You all really helped to make the party atmosphere we had been after. So thank you a lot for the combination of brilliant music and energy that you all brought to the evening.
We haven’t hesitated to recommend you to anyone who has asked - not least because you were also a pleasure to deal with to the run-up to the wedding. We hope you get further business from guests at our wedding.

We were thrilled to have The Get Downs play for us. They were incredibly professional throughout all stages of planning. The whole process was clear, stress free and collaborative. The group made every effort to listen and accommodate our wishes, including rearranging a song for us - which was so special.
Their communication was outstanding, we felt reassured that they could solve any issues on the day without disturbing us. It was a privilege for us and so memorable for all our guests!
