What a great night we had! Down For The Count were absolutely amazing and Jacqueline has asked me to pass on her personal thanks, and thanks from the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, for the band’s incredible performance that kept the dance floor filled until the very end.

The band were wonderful! They had the whole room dancing and everyone said how amazing they were!! Not a budget option but worth every penny.
Down for the Count were utterly superb, from first recommendation to delivery on the night. They have a slick presence, flawless sound and impeccable communication. They made our night truly magical and we cannot recommend them highly enough.
They were smart, savvy and had the room rocking from the first note played. They listened when we discussed genres and delivered in spades. We were running late and they adapted to our timetable, never missing a beat.
They gave us more than we could have expected and our guests from 21 to 86 were all dancing. My wife and I cannot praise them highly enough. The mixture of Standards, Pop, Motown, Swing and Rock and Roll was fabulous. At the end our guests were shouting for more!!

We are thrilled that we chose Down for the Count as our wedding band. A fantastic group of musicians who made our day so much more special. Mike (band manager) was extremely helpful throughout, guiding us through the various options - from the band's outfits to music choices. We booked the band for the whole day, including jazz sets during the reception, ceremony music, first dance, and two hours of dancing! They were absolutely amazing and their performance (music, sound, etc) was just perfect!”
My fiancee and I first came across Down for the Count on the Bridebook website and we liked their promo videos and photos. We then checked their website and went to see them perform live at the Tabernacle (Notting Hill) and absolutely loved their style, energy, and repertoire. We felt that the band would be a perfect fit for our wedding (and music taste). I then contacted Mike to arrange all the details and confirm the dates, etc. We had a separate meeting to look at the venue and discuss the day plan, band locations, etc. The band is extremely versatile and professional, which certainly made our decision easier, as we knew we could trust them with all of our music needs for the day (they performed from 1:30pm until about 11pm). As my ratings show, we could not have been happier with our choice - and would not hesitate to recommend Down for the Count to anyone who is looking for a superb wedding band!"
The band were fantastic - the performance was superb, and also they were excellent at dealing with a logistically challenging venue with a very short set up time. They were happy to learn a new song for our first dance. We could not have been happier and would recommend them to anyone.
Mike Paul-Smith were quite simply amazing. They were the talk of our guests who all loved the band and their range of music, we both couldn't have been happier with how everything went with Mike and his team. They were flexible with our requests, even provided vocals and keyboard during our drinks reception and managed to provide us with all options and solutions to suit our budget.
Mike Paul-Smith Music were always accommodating and nothing was ever a problem. A big part of our day that went off so smoothly. Truly magical.
Mike and the band were absolutely fantastic. During the set up on the day they were punctual and professional, and they were totally accommodating to our wacky requests (processional music down a field). The music was exceptional - they're experts at reading the 'mood' of the room and got everyone up on their feet dancing. So many of the guests came up to us afterwards to tell us how good they were. I couldn't recommend the band more highly.
We thought The Get Downs did an outstanding job and so did all of our friends and family. Everyone could not stop raving about how great the music was. Honestly, we wouldn't have changed a thing and were so impressed.
They got the our guests really excited and dancing like crazy, and pleased a crowd of 7 year olds to 93 year olds.
Most of all, it was so special to hear New York, New York as a closing song and we really appreciate your initiative to create those extra special touches for us!

A quick email to say thank you so much to you and the rest of the band for Saturday. We are so pleased we chose you to play at our wedding - you were absolutely brilliant.
I love the fact we managed to sneak in a dance together before the rest of the guests made it to the dancefloor. That was a lovely a really memorable moment for us.
Thank you so much for dealing so admirably with our wedding overrunning. We are sad not to have had 2 full hours of The Get Downs, but we were delighted with we did have.
Dear Mike, the band were absolutely fantastic! We had so many people say how good you were. The setting up was really smooth and the whole evening went really well logistically. I really loved the set lists, and the sound was brilliant.
Big thanks as well for letting me sing a couple of songs with them, that was so lovely to do.
Before the day, Mike was great at allaying our concerns about the noise monitor and in communicating leading up to the day. On the day, we were running a bit late, but Mike and the team were great in working around the situation. Their performance was amazing and had all of our guests dancing - even those who hadn't danced since their own wedding many years before.
