I would like to thank you so much for playing at our wedding! The band were absolutely amazing. Everyone is talking about how great you were. I can't believe how much energy you all put in - even at nearly midnight after two sets with barely a break as far as I recall! You had some of my grumpiest guests up and dancing - and the whole wedding party was humming New York, New York at brunch on Sunday. Not very well it must be mentioned! Hi Mike, I hope that you are well and got back to London ok after our wedding on the 4th. I just wanted to say thank you ever so much to you and all of the band for giving such a great show at our reception. I really wanted to have a great party - with everyone up and dancing and you all made that happen. Thank you also for learning "Come on Eileen" for us, dancing to that is one of my favourite memories of the day. I hope that you all enjoyed it. Thank you again.

Dear Mike and all The Get Downs players I wanted to thank you all for making our wedding day so very very very special – we had the most incredibly amazing day and the music was just phenomenal. You’ve probably forgotten which wedding we were, it was the one in Windsor Great Park at Cumberland Lodge on 31 August 2013. You absolutely bought the house (or rather, marquee) down – I cannot tell you how many of the guests have commented on how amazing you guys were! I’m so sorry it’s taken me this long to write to you; we didn’t get back from our honeymoon until the end of November, and then Christmas seemed to completely take over but, in the spirit of better late than never, thank you thank you thank you – you were truly wonderful. The moment you played the opening chords of ‘All You Need Is Love’ is my favourite memory of the day, along with all the dancing! James and I often talk about the day and reminisce about the music and dancing. I really cannot thank you enough. If there’s any sort of official review you would like us to do, please let us know. You were truly excellent and we rave about you to everyone who says they need a band. Thank you again – It sounds horribly mushy, but it true; you added a lot of magic to a very magical day. With very best wishes to you all for 2014.

Dear Mike, I just wanted to email to say a huge thank you for your help at our wedding. The music was perfect and so many people danced who I didn't expect too (you even had my parents dancing which is the first time this has happened for about 35 years....). It was the perfect way to celebrate the wedding and so thank you!

If you love jazz, BOOK THIS BAND! They do up tempo, smooth, standards, and sultry with class, passion and energy. I felt like our wedding was transported back to the gold age of Jazz, which was exactly what we wanted!

Hi, we just wanted to say how AMAZING you all were on Saturday evening. You were all fantastic and exactly what we wanted. A lot of guests said you were the one of the best swing bands they have heard. We have also passed your details on to quite a few couples who have weddings coming up.

I write on behalf of myself and all the guests who attended our dinner on Friday at the Double Trees Hotel. I have received nothing but praise for you and your band and I wish to thank you all for helping make our evening the great success it turned out to be. A lot of my guests, besides myself are musicians of one sort or another and have all commented on the fabulous sound and quality of playing you all produced. What was particularly noticed was the young age of the players, playing and enjoying the music of another era. The type of music you played was perfect for my guests and I thank you for the very professional approach you made to getting that right. I know from bitter experience how easily it is to get it wrong. Dear Mike, It is a pleasure to write to you today to thank you and your band for playing at our James Bond 007 "Licence to Thrill" Charity Event on Saturday 21st June at Trumpeters' House. I am sure you will agree the evening was a huge success and complemented by the glorious weather. Early indications are that the evening raised in excess of £76,000, which will provide much needed support to our families. The money raised will be put to immediate good use in providing practical assistance to improve the quality of life for children with life-limiting illnesses, who are cared for by desperate families. Once again, thank you for your help in entertaining our guests and I do hope we shall work together sometime in the future. With my very best wishes.

Just wanted to send mike and the band a card to say thanks for last Fridays performance at our wedding... Can't remember all their names but WOW, absolutely amazing. Who needed a wedding ... Would have just danced the night, day and following night away with them. The blonde lead singer's voice was just stunning ... The horn players fabulous ...
