Hi guys, Thank you so much for a fantastic performance. It was such a pleasure to have you with us and we’ve had countless comments about how good you were. It’s no surprise that the dance floor was so full, so often. Mike, thank you for sticking with us during COVID and being such a great communicator during the multiple postponements.

We just wanted to write to say a huge thank you for your outstanding contribution to our wedding on 21 May. The band were everything we had hoped for; professional, fun, talented and hugely enjoyable. I lost count of the number of positive comments made by our guests - I think people were genuinely surprised that such a high-quality group could be booked for a wedding! Many mentioned that it was the most spectacular, high-quality and richest-sounding band they’d ever seen at a private event. It really felt like we had chart-listed, recording artist celebrities playing for us, though that’s possibly because we watched so much of your YouTube content before the day! I’ll admit I was almost a tad starstruck seeing you all ‘in the flesh’! You absolutely nailed the set list - just the right balance of swing/Motown to get people up (once they’d had a few drinks) and managed to get in a whole bunch of our favourites. Clearly the arrangement and band-leading accolades go to you, but a special mention for Hannah and Marvin is essential. Hannah was as enchanting and engaging as we had imagined, and you were absolutely right to recommend Marvin - what an absolute gentleman with such a soulful voice. A great combination of vocalists. I’d also like to single out your drummer for an absolutely brilliant solo in Sing Sing Sing - what a way to open and let people know they were in for a good night in safe (and quality) musical hands. Also, thanks for getting the volume and balance just right - loud enough to be a party but not ear-splitting and making it impossible to have a conversation. That lighting set up is really nice, too. I hope the venue looked after you, that your food was ok, and that all the arrangements worked. I’m sorry we didn’t have much time to chat on the night, it was all a bit of a whirlwind. Suffice to say that Leanne and I couldn’t have been happier - we could have kept dancing for another set or two; we just didn’t want you to stop. My feet disagreed, mind you! Once again, our most sincere thanks and appreciation for your talents. We (and many guests) will be singing your praises for many years to come. Please pass our thanks to all the performers, and feel free to lift any bits of this for testimonial purposes.

I just wanted to send you an email to say how amazing the vintage dancers were. They were both so friendly, welcoming and fun and put all the guests at ease immediately, their energy and talent was a joy to watch and contagious, as it encouraged everyone to want to join in on the dance floor. People of all ages were up there dancing, and it's all thanks to them for making everyone excited and relaxed. Their performance, jive lesson and dancing on and off through the night were exceptional, and a joy to watch! So many friends and family commented on how amazing they were and the energy they brought to the night. So thank you very much to them, and to you for helping to make my grandfather's birthday such a special night to remember. I will definitely be recommending yourselves to everyone for the future!

We wanted to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU for all you did last Saturday, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The band were amazing, and were very attentive. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon – as did we. Thank you also for learning the first dance song as well! We’d love to book you again in the future! Thank you again.

Hi Mike, Wow, what can I say. You and your band are absolutely fantastic. We can't thank you enough. Every guest and hotel staff told us how brilliant you were. Teresa the hotel owner is a musician, thought you and the band was so great she took your details for future events and recommendations. I know Amy and Andrew enjoyed every moment of your sets and especially "This Will Be" for their first dance. We will cetainly never forget you. What a fantastic performance at our conference, it went down a storm!

The whole process of working with you was so seamless, and the performance was incredible, we’ve heard so many comments from friends and family since our wedding.

The gang were fantastic from start to finish - and even better than the demos we had listened to online. They were professional, organised, flexible on timings and they really got our party started. We loved the combination of old and new songs that the band seamlessly moved between and loads of our guests commented on how brilliant the band were. We would not hesitate to book them again - thank you so much for making our wedding day so incredibly special.

WOW! How amazing are Down for the Count? They have stayed with us through all the lockdown problems, always willing to change but above all they are just an awesome band, their sound is exceptional and we and all our guests just loved them. They worked with us with the ceremony music, nothing was too much trouble. They helped so much with the wedding dance too. Just so professional, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, and if you love dancing they are THE band to book!
