Dear Mike and the band, I just wanted to drop you an email to say a HUGE thank you for your incredible support this weekend with the Rockinghorse Ball. If a full dancefloor is the sign of a good band then you are right up there!! We have received SO many positive comments on you guys from our guests and I wanted to personally thank you for your incredible performance. You were all absolutely fantastic and have received such brilliant feedback from our guests! In fact, one of our biggest supporters has asked for your details with regards for a booking for one of his events!! So hopefully we’ll see you all in Brighton again soon 😊 I’m so pleased to let you know that over £90,000 was raised at the Ball which is an incredible amount that we are all so proud of. You should all be proud of yourselves too as you have helped to make this event a reality!

I thought now would be a good time to give a very belated thank you for our wonderful wedding music (2 years ago to this day!) We meant to write after the event, but got caught up with honeymoon etc. We had so many comments about the music at our wedding. Everyone loved The Get Downs and the live music, and just as important they loved the DJ sets and especially the way they seamlessly flowed from one to the other. I am told that the dancefloor was never empty, although memories are a little hazy! A really wonderful evening of entertainment. Many thanks again and hope that things get back to normal for you all soon.

Hi Mike, can you please thank the gorgeous band for their efforts last week. We all had such a wonderful time and guests commented on how fabulous they were. Pity it had to end early, the place had its restrictions but nevertheless we all had a terrific time complimented by Becky and the band!

Everything went really well on the 20^th Sept.  Katie and the band were amazing and did a sterling job! We’ve had great feedback on them.

"The band were great at our wedding - very talented musicians, fun outfits and know how to get the party going. Not only is the music wonderful but the customer service was the best of any of our wedding suppliers. Mike was excellent at responding to our emails quickly, making suggestions and answering any questions. He even visited the venue beforehand to check the sound system and how it worked (liaising with the venue himself). All round top marks from us."

Live music was hugely important to us when planning our wedding. As soon as we found Down for the Count we knew we'd struck gold. Mike was amazing, finding a way to incorporate everything we wanted - including custom orchestrations and the roaming trio! The live music created a backdrop for the emotions of a perfect day. The performance of 'Stand by Me' by Crawford in the church was incredibly moving and set the tone for a beautiful service. Our dear friend Fiona accompanied by the band had the bride in tears, while the incredible Hannah and the roaming trio at the reception got everyone in the party mood. The evening band had everyone on the dance floor all night, we didn't want it to end! We had so many compliments from our guests about the band. Mike and the band made our day so special and we couldn't recommend them highly enough. Just like our first dance, Down for the Count created "Something Beautiful" for our wedding!

Totally amazing, as soon as they started performing all our guests were up and dancing. Great mix of songs which made everyone happy.

Thank you for an awesome performance on Saturday and being flexible with the timings. So many people said how great the band were and we certainly had a lot of fun! I hope you also enjoyed your evening.

The Get Downs are hands-down the best wedding band I've ever seen. My fiancée (now wife) and I saw them first at an event in London and were blown away. When I first contacted the band manager, Mike, he was wonderfully helpful and this continued throughout the planning of our wedding. Friendly and easy to work with, Mike helped us plan our set list and timings, while also remaining flexible to cope with last-minute changes on the day. Rarely have I seen a wedding band with such obvious musically and the number of guests who raved about the band was astounding. Other friends of ours have even booked the band at their own wedding, which goes to show how amazing they are.

The Get Downs Lite were absolutely amazing and made our wedding day. They got everyone up on the dance floor, even my 93 year old Gran and Grandad! And no-one stopped dancing until the end. The music was perfect, the band sounded great, looked great and really made a fantastic atmosphere that fitted in perfectly with our big day. Our guests are all still raving about them.

Mike did a wonderful job co-ordinating musical arrangements for our wedding this summer. From beginning to end he made the process simple and fun and delivered exactly what we envisaged - a relaxed 5-piece jazz band accompanying our outside afternoon reception. Lots of our guests commented on how much they loved the band (in particular the 1950’s vibe of their outfits). Would highly recommend!

Down for the Count were outstanding at our wedding; our guests haven't stopped saying how much they enjoyed their music or how special they felt the band made the reception. Not only was the music absolutely brilliant - and had us dancing all night - we were both struck by how friendly and accommodating Mike and his team were in planning the event. They even prepared and practised a particular swing number for our first dance! On top of all this, Down for the Count turned up punctually and set up in record speed time, on one of the hottest days of the year. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Mike Paul-Smith Music were simply superb from start to finish. Staggeringly fast and helpful communication during the planning, and fantastic top notch playing on the day. Simply could not recommend them highly enough!

We saw these guys perform at a friends wedding and they smashed it so we had to have them for our wedding. They were the highlight of the entire day, all guests absolutely loved them and they turned it into an incredible party!
