Down for the Count were absolutely fantastic, in fact I have to say they are probably the best live swing band I have seen. They were very accommodating and good fun before and after the evening.

Hi Mike, Thanks for your time on Saturday. You guys were excellent! Both our guests and staff members really enjoyed your sets. I should also note I have passed on your contact details to our Alumni team too, they already have a bands and entertainment on their books, but it’s always good to promote reliable suppliers internally. I of course will keep your details on file for any other MBA events, and should my colleagues ask about any great bands!

Dear Mike, We thought that we must get in contact to thank each and every one of you for the performance which you gave to us last Sunday evening at Charlotte and Ian's wedding event. It was very evident as soon as you started to play and sing that you would notch up the atmosphere to another level. Everyone was soon on the dancefloor "strutting their stuff". What was even more remarkable was the age range of people motivated to "get up and boogie". Babes in arms being held by their mother all the way through to grans in their eighties were dancing away on the dancefloor. What was particularly remarkable was the fact that you kept them there for song after song. The way that you linked in one song after the other went a long way to keeping the atmosphere going throughout the evening. Thanks also for the interaction you had with the guests, both when making requests and with the encore which you gave. It was obvious that the audience didn't want you to stop! We've had so many complimentary comments from people attending the event about how you made their evening. One auntie of the bride said that it was the best party she'd ever been to, in no small part down to the performance which you gave. Once again, many thanks for all that you all did on the night and for the advice you gave to Charlotte and Ian in the the days leading up to their special day. Kind Regards.

Hi Mike, I hope you are well. Please forgive the delay in writing this email but the aftermath of the ball seems to involve just as much work as the preparation! Anyway I am finally writing to say a massive ‘THANK YOU!!’ for, well basically, being AMAZING at The Killer Heels Charity Ball! I've had so many compliments about your fantastic music. You all played every song with such energy and enthusiasm, the dance floor was jam-packed the whole time!! Your enthusiasm was infectious and your music suited guests of all ages, thank you also for being so flexible when the auction ran over - I simply could not have picked a better band!! I have been telling everybody about you guys - I'm contemplating organising another ball just so I have a reason to book you again! In the meantime I shall have to make do with your two CD's that I have just ordered on your website! The whole event went without a hitch and was a roaring success. Eynsham Hall were brilliant and ensured that the event ran smoothly and that the delicious food was served promptly despite my interruptions with 2 raffles and the auction! Both the raffles and the auction were a huge success and raised £2,475 between them! Ticket sales along with some other donations has meant that the total raised for my chosen charity Ovacome was over £6,000! This amazing sum exceeded my expectations by far! We received compliment after compliment from our guests about the choice of band and we are thrilled that we booked you. The evening was perfect and everyone very clearly had a great time. We're also fairly certain (the whole evening passed in a bit of a blur) that you adjusted your performance time to accommodate the fact that we were running behind so many thanks for your flexibility. Dear Mike & The Band, We just wanted to say how grateful we are that we booked you for our wedding in Oxfordshire on 4th February. To be honest it didn’t take a lot of effort to choose The Get Downs to play at our wedding… after listening to some of your tracks on the website it was an easy decision. You were just what we were looking for; a great mix of music, played incredibly well, by a professional, enthusiastic and charismatic band. Mike, you were so helpful in making the arrangements. We obviously had so many things to worry about in the run up to the wedding, and so much to organise, but you made our arrangements for the band really easy. On the day, despite the distance you had to travel, you were on time and we never had to worry about you – your arrangements with the reception venue staff went perfectly (I’m just sorry that your journey home wasn’t quite so easy – although the heavy snow that night was perfect for us, it must have been a real pain for you and I’m so sorry it took you so long to get back!) We’re very grateful that you were able to play our song for the first dance – although it wasn’t in your repertoire, you never made us feel like it would be a problem, and in the end it was played beautifully. As for the rest of the evening’s music, the full 9-piece function band were really fantastic and many people commented on how the music really topped off an amazing day. I certainly noticed how the dance floor was full throughout your entire set, which is testament to how fantastic you are. Often the band at an event like a wedding can slip into the background, but you certainly made yourselves very memorable and your performance really impressed us as one of the key things that made our day such a success. It's a fairly mean feat getting 70-year-olds, 20-somethings and 4-year-olds all on the dancefloor at once but you did! A couple of our guests asked for your details, to play at their own events – hopefully you’ve had some more bookings through us, and that really is the least we could do to say thank you. I really have no hesitation in recommending The Get Downs to anyone. Thanks again!

We booked The Get Downs for our Christmas departmental event. Through their dynamism and enthusiasm, they certainly know how to bring an audience of serious bankers to life. The set list was extremely enjoyable, with a variety of classics, Christmas tunes and powerful beats to suit all tastes. Many thanks to the band for their responsiveness, making the booking so easy and flawless.

The music suited the atmosphere perfectly and several of the guests told me how thoroughly they enjoyed it. Nicky might be a bit big-headed now with all the compliments that were lavished on her! Mike, a massive thanks to you and the rest of your band members for the great music you put on at Sue’s party. Actually the partying only finished at 6:00pm on Sunday night, but everyone who was at Keston Village Hall on Friday was totally and rightly complementary about the party and in particular the band. From what I’ve heard you’ll be back in Keston before long; there is always a celebration going on here, and your band was a great hit. Hope to see you again!
