Mike was great throughout, his band were professional with a very picky venue with strict volume levels. I would highly recommend, we got so many comments about how everyone enjoyed the band and the proof was in all the happy dancing people!

Wow, all I can say is absolutely fantastic! The band were amazing and everyone had such a great evening! I even got up and did a bit of dancing. If you could pass on our thanks to both Lydia and Simon for all their work earlier in the day too, was a great touch to have Lydia singing those two songs during the re-enactment.

Down for the Count were a sensational part of our wedding and one of the most memorable parts of our day. I lost count of how many guests raved about their performances and many of our wedding guests are in the entertainment industry. The band is slick, professional and every member is insanely talented. The transitions from song to song were seamless and the dance floor was packed from our first dance till the 2nd encore. I danced for 3 hours straight and had the best time. I cannot rate them highly enough.

Hi Mike I had a fabulous party, thank you, and the band were terrific. I had so many spontaneous compliments from my guests as to how good they were. Many who were not keen on vintage dancing had a great evening just listening. Please pass on my compliments to them - many thanks!

Mike Paul-Smith Music offered a truly tailored experience that enchanted us - they provided music from our service, through cocktails to the end of our party. They even learnt a French song for our first dance! One of our main comments from our guests was how much of a fun atmosphere they added to each part of our day, and I would recommend them to any couple because of their great versatility.

The band were wonderful! They had the whole room dancing and everyone said how amazing they were!! Not a budget option but worth every penny.

Down for the Count were utterly superb, from first recommendation to delivery on the night. They have a slick presence, flawless sound and impeccable communication. They made our night truly magical and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

I then contacted Mike to arrange all the details and confirm the dates, etc. We had a separate meeting to look at the venue and discuss the day plan, band locations, etc. The band is extremely versatile and professional, which certainly made our decision easier, as we knew we could trust them with all of our music needs for the day (they performed from 1:30pm until about 11pm). As my ratings show, we could not have been happier with our choice - and would not hesitate to recommend Down for the Count to anyone who is looking for a superb wedding band!"
